Migration Manager Update – Version 8.2.7

A minor update (version 8.2.7) for Migration Manager will soon be released for Beta testers with the main release currently scheduled for early next week.

Version 8.2.7 of Migration Manager will see a number of updates and minor fixes and the introduction of the specific handling of Credit Card Surchages in the Accounts system.

What is in the Update: Change Log – Version 8.2.7 (Beta 11 August – Everyone else mid August)

  • Accounts
    • This update sees the introduction of the handling of Credit Card Surcharges on:
      • Deposit Requests: The deposit request form will now calculate the expected surcharged on disbursements such as VAC charges;
      • Disbursements: The disbursements record now includes provision for recording the payment surcharge as a seperate line item;
      • Client Account Receipts: If you receive a deposit in to your Client Account via Credit Card, the receipt will now calculate and record the applicable credit card surcharge;
      • Office/Operating Account Receipts: If payment of an invoice is made directly in to your operating account, the receipt will calculate the applicable surcharge and update the invoice being paid accordingly;
      • Client Account Payments: If you make payment out of your Client Account via a credit card,the Payment record now includes provision for recording the payment surcharge as a seperate line item.
    • Modified the Program Preferences to allow users to specify a default charge code for Credit Card Surcharges.
    • The receipt templates have been updated to handle the new surcharge features.
    • Modified the Accounts search tool to fix an issue that prevented you being able to filter deposit requests by date.
    • Fixed a bug which affected timesheets for those still running SQL2005 – please note that support for SQL2005 is due to be phased out soon. Please speak to your IT about upgrading your system.
    • Fixed a bug in Accounts reports which affected the date range filter of the Trust Account Cashbook and Trust Receipts Cashbook reports.
    • Fixed a bug that resulted in certain users receiving an error if they set a disbursement as Not Billable.
  • Client Detail
    • Added Citizenships as a Matter type.
    • Fixed a bug which was resulting in the Documents tab showing temp and thumbs.db files.
    • Fixed a bug which resulted in an error when saving nomination templates with long names.
  • Emails
    • Modified the auto capture window such that if you now select and try to match multiple emails you will now receive a warning to confirm that you want to do this.
    • Fixed an issue where manually captured emails were not being cleared at the end of the selected storage and monitoring period.
    • Fixed an issue where the auto capture was not excluding certain emails which had been marked for exclusion.
  • Document Merging
    • Fixed an issue where Dependent1 merge fields showed the same data as Spouse.
  • Progress &  Portal
    • Added an Antivirus requirement and help tool to assist users identify what antivirus they have installed.
    • Added an option for users to link and display their privacy policy on their Portal webpage.
    • Added checklists for citizenship.
    • Fixed an issue where Subcalss 600 checklists included incorrect items.
  • Reports
    • Added a record of document deletion to the System Log report.
    • Fixed an issue where some users received an error running a report on completed progress items.
  • Other
    • Fixed an issue which prevented the changing of the name and email address of users.
    • Added ANZSCO field as a searchable option on the Open page.
    • Other minor bug fixes and enhancements.

How to Perform the Update

When you are ready to perform the update, you should login as the Administrator and then click on the Help menu and then click Online Update. For full instructions on how to perform the update, please see: How to Perform an Update.



When the update window opens click the ‘Start’ button and then follow any prompts. We do recommend that you do a full update and download the latest DIBP forms from Legendcom/immiAccount as DIBP has recently released a number of essential changes – this update includes new mappings for a number of these updated forms.
